The authors have created the NFTs using weaving as inspiration. The buyer of the NFT piece can turn their art into a real woven object if they want to.
However, the idea ended up in digital, even though they self-set a criteria where a good design will make people want to pass their fingers across the screen.
Also, some of their design might be quite difficult to weave by hand? how about stitching? They did mention that based on their criteria, their work should be woven by hand, but with a parenthesis stating it might take awfully long time on an awfully big loom.
